From structural shell to temporary use, Dreikönigstrasse 7, Zurich

Situated in the best location at Dreikönigstrasse 7, Projekt Interim transformed a raw building into flexible, fully licensed workspaces in a short space of time and with a minimum of effort. Temporary use offered creative people and entrepreneurs advantageous conditions – and the owner a clever solution to empty premises.

From structural shell to temporary use

Right in the centre of Zurich, just a few steps away from Paradeplatz, Projekt Interim has created a versatile and creative temporary use for offices and workshops at Dreikönigstrasse 7. The space was originally a structural shell. With little effort and in a short space of time, Projekt Interim produced a fully approved, practical and pragmatic interior design that made the space immediately usable for temporary rental.

Between July 2018 and November 2021, modern workspaces were created that could be flexibly adapted to the individual needs of temporary users. Spaces ranging from 36 to 157 m² offered space for quiet work, creative projects or targeted entrepreneurship – and all at very favourable time conditions and with no long-term commitment.

In addition to a co-working space with individual workstations, shared areas such as a kitchen and a meeting room were also available – ideal conditions for exchanges, synergies and networking.

The owner benefited from the fact that his raw building did not remain empty during the transition period, but was put to good use – a successful example of how well thought-out temporary use can create real added value with minimum effort.
